I am not a morning person.
Not.even.close.
I didn’t realize how much I wasn’t a morning person until I had roommates at college.
I was GRUMPY!
It took my husband 10 minutes the other morning to [literally] drag me out of bed.
Now when I think about it, I don’t think I even realized what was going on at the time. Weird.
So, not being a morning person makes for tough mornings.
Coffee is a natural option.
Though I’ve backed off a lot on my coffee intake, I still love it more than most.
I love the taste.
I love the smell.
… and something I especially love about it…

… having it with a friend… or two… or three…
I love coffee.
The End.

I really enjoy the whole experience of drinking coffee. Its not just the drink. Its everything that goes with it. I feel bad for those who dont drink coffee. They are missing out.
I enjoyed your post. Wish we could enjoy some coffee together. Love you!
I can definitely relate to that! Ha ha!
I wish we could have coffee too! That would be so fun… maybe someday…
Love you too!
Every morning before school, you would sit on the side of the bed sort of teetering for 5 minutes…10 or more. I said more than once…that girl is going to be a coffee drinker! I don’t like the stuff AT ALL, so I never provided it for you as a kid. Maybe my life would have been easier if I gave it to you.
Love this! My husband will also attest that I am not a morning person… at least initially… and to try to start it without coffee ::: gasps:::. Funny thing though, when he proposed to me he got me up early (without coffee) and took me to Butterfly World as it was opening. After he proposed we joked that he did it at the grumpiest time for me (early and without coffee) and he said, “i wanted the real answer”… haha! Well, he got it! Thanks for the encouraging blog, girls! Love ya! -Rachel
HA ha!
… great story! Your one year anniversary is coming!!!! YAY!
… so glad you’re enjoying the blog… we kinda like it too…
I remember that now that you said that! Ha ha. I guess I was destined to drink the stuff.
It never occured to me to give my non-morning son coffee either. I tried helping him wake up with music. He came to hate my Lion King cd. In fact it went missing for the longest time. When I finally found it buried under some of his old clothes, it was all scratched up. He redeemed himself by taking me to see the musical for my birthday a couple of years ago.
I love coffee too even though I don’t drink it everyday. But…I’m SO like you about getting up in the morning. You think Nolan would have figured it out by now, but when I get up I have to wake up for a little bit and THEN you can talk to me. He’s always like “GOOD MORNING!!!!! HOW DID YOU SLEEP!!!” And I’m all “grumble, grumble, go away, mumble, mumble, I’m tired.”
Yup, it takes about 10 minutes for me to be coherent! I’m glad I’m not as grumpy as I used to be, just not “all there”. ha ha
You and I are so much alike, it’s hilarious!
Sarah,
This brings back good memories of the days we shared those grande half-caf, caramel macchiato at the office. Can;’t wait till we can sit down again for a wonderful cup of coffee. There is nothing remotely close to the experience of a shared cup of coffe with a friend.
