In keeping with our new little tradition of posting about things we love on Wednesdays,
I present to you another thing I love… not as much as coffee… but almost as much.

It’s no secret that hardly anyone actually takes the time to write letters anymore.
People even have their handwriting made into a font now,
so they don’t have to actually WRITE.
(Don’t get me wrong —– I think that’s pretty neat, and have considered doing it myself.
Nevertheless, I’m using it to make my point anyway! LOL)
Not that they have to be as pretty as this:

That’s just not realistic.
Seriously, how many people actually get something like this in their mailbox??
Not me.
I’d be happy to get chicken scratch.
… a handwritten note amongst all the advertisements.
That would brighten anyone’s day!
So there you have it.
Another thing I love.
I, too, LOVE handwritten letters….the little notes you have sent to me via snail mail have always been a such a delight! And, it just so happens, I LOVE your beautiful handwriting too. I needed to hear your “chicken scratch” remark, because I think I would send more if my handwriting was better. You’ve inspired me
Point taken. I have gotten so lazy in that area. I have toyed with the idea of writing to each of my grandchildren once a month. What do you think?
My mother-in-law started sending the boys postcards when she was on vacation. Even though she’s home now {and lives 15 minutes away}, she has sent them another postcard. The boys LOVE this! And ask everyday if there is another card in the mail.
All that to say! I bet your grandkids would love something in the mail from their grandmother!
I love handwritten letters too! I had a penpal when I was younger – we used to exchange 15 page {no joke} handwritten letters.
