{I accidentally posted this awhile ago and then took the post down. And then I never got around to “really” posting it. Ha! So forgive me, those of you who have seen this before.}
No, I’m not bossy. What makes you say that?
Maybe I should try again…
Three things I think you should try if for any reason they strike your fancy because maybe you might just like them as much as my family did, but don’t let me force you or tell you what to do or anything like that.
Better?
He, he…
ANYWAY!
Let’s start with the least appetizing picture, huh? But I’m telling you, even though the picture’s not great, we really loved these puppies!
Monte Cristo sandwiches. Yum! I used this recipe. I was afraid of the frying, but it wasn’t too bad. And even Mr. B who can give me grief about eating pronounced these good and went for seconds. The boys were even excited about eating them leftover for lunch the next day {score!}! After all, what child can refuse sandwiches sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with raspberry jam to dip them in?
Next up…

Key Lime Swirl Cheesecake Bars that I made for the 4th of July {ack, it’s been that long!}, and they seemed to be a hit. After the fact, I figured I should have colored them with blue or red {or both!} instead of green. Oh well… These required me to make lime curd since we couldn’t find it in the store. That made me nervous, but honestly, it was very easy. Creamy cheesecake on the bottom with a bite of key lime on the top. Yummo!
And finally…
Darby tried it, The Pioneer Woman gave the how to, now I’m a huge fan!
No more…
No more…
Now I have any time access to my own iced coffee! My husband and wallet are both very happy.
Seriously, this homemade iced coffee is as good as any I’ve ever purchased. The Pioneer Woman makes a huge batch, but I used only a 5oz bag of coffee grounds {even bought Starbucks brand to boot!}, and it has lasted me quite awhile. And you can mix it up so many different ways! I mostly mix mine with whole milk, sugar, and a little caramel syrup or with hazelnut coffee creamer. Delicious!
{The Pioneer Woman makes a HUGE batch. If you want to make a smaller batch like me, you will use 16 ounces of water for every 1 ounce of coffee grounds.}
Anything tasty been cooking in your kitchen lately?
