Mid-Week Inspiration: For Little Ears

I thought I’d share with you a few of the things my kiddos like to listen to.

My oldest son is an auditory learner. He loves songs and rhymes and little jingles and stories {and talking too…boy does that son love to talk!}. So he’s always begging to listen to this or to listen to that.

You know the Sunday School song “oh, be careful little ears what you hear?” Well, it’s true!

I’m sure you all can add to my list of wonderful things to listen to, but here are some things our family loves!

Your Story Hour

My boys LOVE these. This is the set that we own and we have listened to them over and over and over {and over} again. The boys know the stories inside out. I think they’re probably geared to older children, but my boys {5 and 3} love them. If you’re looking for great historical biographical stories these are great.

You can buy the CD from Christianbook.com. Or buy and download them from Amazon.

I’ve talked about these before but we also love these!

Songs for Saplings

This “Questions with Answers” series is great! It’s catechism set to music. We love it!

We also like this one a whole lot.

They have an ABC one which is bet is great as well! I love that these are Scripture set to fun, upbeat, wholesome music. Music I enjoy listening to, but nothing too wild and crazy. :)

You can buy them straight from Songs for Saplings. Or order them through Amazon.

I don’t own any of these {yet!}, but they are on my “to buy” list. I’ve been searching Ebay. :)

Patch the Pirate

I used to travel with a ministry and as a children’s minister. Sometimes we would play these stories for the kids. Oh…they loved them! Camp Kookawacka Woods was my favorite! “Come get your Kookawack bug juice…fish eye florentine…three day quarantine…pigs in a blanket, cows on the floor, take one bite and you’ll head for the door…but it sure tastes GREAT – if you hold your nose!” Okay, so that’s ridiculously silly {and admittedly kind of gross} but there are much more serious and Godly songs too and the stories tell good truths. So many great stories to choose from!

Order from Majesty Music. Or it looks like there are some {and some sets} on Amazon.

And though there’s more I could add, I’ll end today with this one…

Seeds Family Worship

I don’t personally own any of these {yet!}, but I’ve heard great things about them, and I’ve heard some of their different songs. Again – fun music with a great message! And they take it a step farther, and when you buy a CD they give you a free one to give away {planting another seed}. Cool, huh? Definitely worth adding to the family collection!

You can buy them directly through them!

So you tell me – what are some of your kids’ favorite things to listen too?? I know there’s lots of good stuff out there!

{I’m not affiliated with any of these companies, I just think they have great things to offer! I am an affiliate with Amazon, and if you click on an Amazon link and choose to purchase I’ll make a few pennies.}

Grace used to love to listen to Your Story Hour also. Over the years her collection grew to include most of the sets.
