Problem Solved

We’ve been in our house now for more than three months now.

We still have boxes.

Maybe that’s not too surprising, but it’s been a bit frustrating to not know what to do with them and their contents.

Most of them are boxes of books, and we just don’t have a place to put them that would could access them easily…

Until now!

I have been brainstorming for a good place to build a built in bookshelf for quite a while, and have run those ideas by Jonny (AKA:  Handy Hubby), but they would’ve have worked well for one reason or another.  But last week I mentioned another idea to him about putting one in the office.  It made sense, and we had a good bit of wood in the garage that would cut the cost significantly… like more than half!  So, he got to work!

Here’s a little photo tour of his office… it’s about a 6′x10.5′ room and is right off of the living room…

You can tell that the books that have been unpacked are in the way.

Thankfully, the bookcase is finished!

I am thankful that Jonny likes to pull up his sleeves and try things he’s never done before!
He did such a good job! 

… Now on to loading those shelves up!
Though we need to use it mainly for storing books,
it is visible from the living room,
so maybe we can make it pretty like these:
