We’re starting 1st Grade on Monday. I can hardly believe it!
And I bet your kids are starting soon too, if they haven’t started already.
Here’s a little something to help you out as you get back-to-school or get your homeschooling supplies in order!
A free download for Shape Flashcards!
{Download link available at the bottom of this post.}
You all seemed to love the ABC Bible Verse Cards that I made, so I thought I’d share with you some other cards I’ve worked on.
I made these last year for T for Kindergarten. I figured – why buy flashcards when, with a little time, I can make them for just about nothing!
…You can use them for your kids ages anywhere from toddler through Kindergarten through 1st grade or so…
…Use them for your homeschool or to review with your child when they come home from school…
…Print two sets and you could play a game of memory…
And because my heart was overflowing with joy at their cuteness…I present you with a little poetry – a la Dr. Suess. ::ahem:: {Lol!}
You can use them in the car.
You can use them near or far.
You can use them in the house.
You can use them with a mouse. {?}
You can use them while you do hair.
Or maybe while you eat a pear.
Or how about while in the air.
And though my poetry does stink.
You can use them anywhere, I think.
Moving on!
Suggestions for you:
- They all print on one page. Woot! I’d call these super-cheap flash cards!
- Print them on some kind of card stock rather than plain printer paper for increased durability.
- If you think they’ll see a lot of wear, you may even want to laminate them. {This laminator on Amazon
gets really good reviews and it’s about $30.}
- They have very light cutting lines to make it easy to cut them apart with a paper cutter or even scissors.
- Snap a rubber band around them. Or punch them in the corner and string them on a binder ring
.

Enjoy!

I LOVE these! I would make my own…but why do that when you have already made them and they are so cute!!??
I have recently started back to teaching, working with the toddlers, and need to stock up on my supplies! I can’t wait to get these cute little guys printed. The kids will enjoy the bright colors, great at keeping their attention while I am singing a little ditty on shapes.
