I was blessed with a weekend away this past weekend…
My sister treated me and my mom and sister-in-law to a ladies’ retreat on Black Mountain in North Carolina.
Wow, right?
Yeah, it was wonderful.
We went through the book of Esther and saw some amazing things about the sovereignty of God and were encouraged to trust in that very aspect of God’s character when experiencing difficult circumstances. It was excellent, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it.
While there, we had a chance to go into Asheville and Black Mountain for a couple of hours. I absolutely love that area. It’s one of those places that (as you’re driving into it) your blood pressure just drops and you automatically start feeling relaxed! :) … I always felt that way driving into the Florida Keys when we lived down there.
Anyway… it was a lovely weekend for many reasons.
But you all know how much I love me some coffee… little coffee shops are the best. We visited a couple that I snapped a couple of pictures of and thought I’d share.
[I can't believe I forgot to take my camera with me this weekend! That was a bummer, but with camera phones, we were able to document it a little bit.]
I love all of the chalk art…
This is at The Dripolator on Black Mountain

I only got one picture of this other place,
but it’s definitely worth visiting if you’re in Asheville.
It’s called French Broad Chocolate Lounge, and it serves gourmet chocolates, coffees and desserts.
It’s pretty amazing.
I had a piece of the carrot cake.
My sister-in-law ordered a liquid truffle… it was incredible.
Highly recommend!
That’s it for today… just wanted to share a little bit of my weekend.
It was a noteworthy one!
Thanks so much for stopping in and giving us props! Love the pics. Please come back!
