Pirate Parrrrrty Prep

I’ve been wanting to do a pirate birthday party for Simon for a long time now, so whenever I saw great ideas on Pinterest, etc, I’d make a mental note. In this post, I’m just going to share some of the ideas that I’ve found, and liked, and then next week I’ll share pictures of my version of these ideas and what little things I managed to come up with! :)

It’s been a lot of fun getting it together. There are a lot of resources for ready-made stuff — like Party City has a whole pirate section, and I found a lot of stuff on clearance at Target several months ago, [surprisingly] I didn’t find anything at Walmart, and there are [of course] a million things online.

Here are a few ideas I found on the wonderful world of Pinterest…

Aren’t these ADORABLE?!

Our party isn’t all hard core Martha Stewart-y like some of these, I really don’t want that, I just want the kids to have fun!  And I’m pretty sure they’re going to!  :)

We’ve got some fun stuff lined up… like a treasure hunt and a photo op… but that’s all I’m saying for now!

Come back on Monday for some pics!
