Saturday Snapshots {19}

School’s keeping us pretty busy, but we’ve managed to squeeze in some other stuff too!

{Last Saturday}
Tropical Storm Isaac was treating us with rain.
In an effort to prepare for the potential storm, we made a necessary run to Home Goods.
What? You don’t think Home Goods counts as hurricane preparedness?
The boys had a little fun while we shopped.

I bought two horse heads on different occasions in the past two weeks.
Nolan must not like them much because he broke both on them on the exact same day that I purchased them. Good thing someone invented glue!

{Sunday}
Since Tropical Storm decided to sweep over us {more or less}, church was cancelled {we were not able to use the building we normally meet it}. Rachel and Jody had us and another family over for “church.” It was a great time of fellowship! I even created my own hashtag on Instagram! #hurricanechurch {even though Isaac wasn’t a hurricane}

Hurricane Church Worship

Jody taught T how to crack an egg.

And Rachel made snickerdoodles with the entire crew.

There’s a lot to learn at #hurricanechurch!

{Monday}
We were still getting rain from ol’ Isaac. But it gave us the perfect puddles to test out our coracles {boats} we made in school!

Big News:: I brewed a cup of Joe and it was really good!
I love coffee, but don’t know how to make it. I figure it’s about time I learned.
So proud of myself. :)

This load of laundry greeted me.
Red Crayon + White and Khaki Clothes = No Good

{Tuesday}
We’re talking about plants in science.
Flowers were the topic of the day.
All of these came from around our yard!
God’s Creation is magnificent!

{Wednesday}
T had an idea for dessert…brownies, cream cheese icing, and strawberries. Yum!

{Thursday}
My Princes of Egypt wearing their spiffy Egyptian collars

This girl doesn’t want to miss a thing!
She sat in my lap and colored for a good long while as part of “school.”

Thursday night I had the privilege of sharing with a bunch of girls about color and seasons. And about glorifying God with our appearance. We tried to determine what each girls season was. I was a bit nervous, but it was a lot of fun!

{Friday}
This sweet girl decided she wanted to sit at the table in a big chair like the rest of us.
Then after she finished eating, she took her plate to the kitchen and put it in the sink just like her brothers!
She’s growing up too fast!!!

That’s it for me!

Have a fantastic weekend!
And enjoy your Monday off!
