31 Days :: In the Diaper Drawer

Well, today’s Simple Solution is just one thing that we’ve done the last few years to make our lives easier, and I thought I’d share it!

We’ve had at least one child in diapers for almost four years now, and a lot of what we have found efficient for us, may not be efficient for you, so bare with me.

I opted not to have a Diaper Genie (or something like it).  I didn’t even register for one.  I wanted to bag the diapers up and take them out daily… I didn’t want to have to deal with the long links of endless, smelly diapers.  But that’s just my preference.  It may seem like a lot of running to the dumpster (we lived in an apartment and condo, then an apartment again before we bought this house)… but it was convenient for us.

That said… we need little plastic bags handy at the changing table!  Yes, they do sell the little rolls of bags, but who needs those when we seem to have an endless supply of grocery bags?  Problem was, we just needed a way to contain them so they didn’t take over the diaper drawer.

Enter:  Tissue Box.

Problem solved!

Our box has clearly been used for quite a while!  LOL

Hopefully, we won’t need it much longer… Simon is potty training!
[Yippee!]
