You find the perfect gift.
You go to peel the price tag sticker off of said perfect gift and … ewww … the paper peels, the sticky gets left behind, it turns into a hideous mess. And, ugh, you wonder if maybe you should have just left the price tag on instead.
Or better yet!
You find the perfect gift on clearance. You know, at Target? Where they stick those lovely reddish orange clearance stickers on the tag? {Reddish orange clearance stickers make my heart skip a beat.}
But you {a} don’t want to leave the price tag on and {b} don’t want your sweet recipient to know that you bought it on ::gasp:: clearance!
{Raise your hand if you’re with me!}
So in your attempt to peel of that clearance tag, it leaves sticker goop behind and the tag practically shouts, “look! she bought me on clearance!”
{Just a little side note here: I have no problem buying great gifts on clearance. Also, if you ever want to buy me a gift on clearance – feel free.

Do I have the simple solution for you!
It’s painless and easy-peasy. And you’re going to love me forever {I hope}.
But first… a little game…
Which one of these things doesn’t belong?
Ding, ding, ding! Give yourself a pat on the back!
The hair dryer doesn’t belong!
{Why, yes, I am using pictures from the Birthday in Box giveaway from back in July. How observant of you.}
So here’s the trick, y’all!
Use a hair dryer for a mess free, no goop removal of sticker price tags!
Are you ready for this?
Start with a product you want to remove the price tag from.
In my case – gorgeous sprinkles. Well…I mean, the container the gorgeous sprinkles came in.
With you hair dryer set on high heat, aim the hot air right at the sticker. I’d say give it about 30 seconds to a minute.
Then simply peel that sticker right off!
If you feel resistance from the glue on the sticker, just hit it with some more heat until it peels up easily.
The end!
A mess free, price tag-less gift ready for giving!
Isn’t that ingenious?!
Perfection!
No more sticky gifts. Just another simple way to make life a little sweeter.
Your husband will be wondering why you’re hoarding all the Christmas gifts in the bathroom. Either that or…he’ll be wondering what you’re doing with your hair dryer in the dining room.
Poor Nolan, he puts up with so much from me.
{I first discovered this trick on Darby’s blog many moons ago.}

I am certainly going to try this. It’s funny, too, because we have a shower stall in our master bath that we have turned into a closet. We mostly keep gifts in there and it is literally 2 feet from where I keep my hair dryer!
I am very glad to know about this. I have used something like “Goo Gone” but this looks much easier and, of course, cheaper. Thanks for this good tip!
Wow! This is my favorite solution so far =) Looking forward to trying it out…. hmm.. think I hear a call for shopping!
