They help Nolan outside. They help me inside.
They get stinky and smelly and dirty.
Their clothes get holes and stains and rips and paint drips.
All because they work!
After a few times of my kids ruining good clothes while working, we have instituted the “work clothes policy.”
If your kids work – you’ll probably love this simple solution!
Our work clothes policy is not complex.
It’s simply this: they have a designated outfit that they can work in.
Simple, right?!
They aren’t anything fancy.
Shorts with holes by the pockets. Hand me down t-shirts that have seen better days. Previously ruined clothes.
But they are perfect for work clothes!
So on Saturday when Daddy is out in the yard working; the boys automatically put on their work clothes.
If I’m painting in the house; the work clothes go on.
No more stress or worry on my part that they are going to ruin another shirt. The clothes they have on are okay to get ruined!
Makes it easy for them, and stress-free for me!
{Cute toes! And, yes, they probably need better “work shoes.”}
Do your kids work? Do you have an assigned set of work clothes for them?

My kids have go-out-with-the-dog clothes which double as work clothes.
