On Trend with No nonsense Leggings and Tights {love!}

This post brought to you by No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine.

Even though this is a sponsored post and not one of our 31 Simple Solutions it could definitely qualify as a Simple Solution! A Simple Solution for adding color and trend to your outfits.

I like pretty clothes. That’s no secret.

But I also like to be comfortable.

I’m chasing 3 little ones around all day, not sashaying down a catwalk after all.

I think I’ve more or less discovered my own middle ground between being uber-current and uber-comfortable.

I like to be chic, but not at the expense of…you know, actually being able to move in my clothing. But I also don't like to look sloppy, so not too much comfort without some style thrown in.

Several years ago I was thinking about what my particular style was and I landed on the term “classic with a twist.” I looooove classics and am too chicken to spend a lot of money on something that isn’t really a classic or won't last longer than a season or two. But…I love throwing in the more current things in little ways – a pretty scarf, a statement necklace, boots, a touch of neon, the ever-popular stripes and polk-a-dots. And…

… leggings and tights!

Leggings and tights are very current and very comfortable. And practical too! And so easy to incorporate into your wardrobe to mix things up a little bit.

Admittedly, I haven’t played around much with the colored tights that are so “in” now, but I loooove a good pair of leggings. They are like an added accessory that can take those basic classic pieces that I love and bring them to a more trendy level.

No nonsense sent me a pair of tights and a pair of leggings {how nice of them!} to play around with and blog about.

no nonsense tights and leggints

It’s so fun to play dress up! I pulled together two looks with clothes from my closet {okay, and a mini-shopping trip to Target's clearance rack} and No nonsense tights and leggings. How fun!

They sent me a great black pair of leggings. They are so soft. Really!
I read once that leggings should have no shine to them. I love that these leggings are nice and matte and have such a soft feel and texture. They also have a high panel at the waist that smooths all those little "trouble" areas to create a nice smooth line. I was a little concerned about that at first because it comes up quite high, but after I saw that smoothing in action, I was sold. {Hey, I've had 3 babies, a little smoothing goes a long way!}

They also sent me a beautiful pair of burgundy tights {that I think are more "plum" or "eggplant" because they have beautiful purple tones}. These were a bit of a stretch for me at first, but I'm so glad I tried them! I'm in love with this outfit I was able to pull together, and the tights just give it that extra oomph!

Now I'm really digging colored tights!

No joke, these tights are so soft. Like, I could happily wear them all day, kind of soft. I don't say that about most pantyhose or even my ballet tights, but these tights are super-comfy. Love that!

Chic and comfy can go hand in hand!

Both the tights and the leggings are great at updating an outfit and also a great accessory as we transition into fall.

Wait, who am I kidding, it’s still like 500 degrees outside. But a girl can dream. :) And I wear them anyway. Who needs cold weather to embrace autumn?

And remember what I said about not wanting to spend a ton of money on items that weren’t classics? I’m sure down the road colored tights will be so passé. So, this is a perfect solution. No nonsense tights and leggings are affordable {around $8-$11} and are found all over the place – Wal-Mart, drug stores, other mass retailers, and even grocery stores.

 Hey, if it’s inexpensive + easy to find + updates my outfits = a happy Jenna.
